Proverbs 16:9 The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.(ESV)
I’m tired. Not the kind of tired that disappears after one good night of sleep, but the kind that settles into the mind, body, and spirit. I don’t remember another time when I’ve been stretched this thin, and I’m beginning to see the physical cost of carrying so much for so long.
Yet beneath the exhaustion, there’s peace.
Everything that’s happened in my life has helped prepare me for where I stand today. The victories gave me confidence. The failures taught me humility. The wounds gave me compassion. Even the closed doors changed my direction.
I was led here, but I also chose to walk. I can’t honestly claim that every turn was a direct instruction from God. Some were my choices, some were the choices of others, and some were simply part of living in a broken world. Still, God has used all of it.
That doesn’t make exhaustion holy. Burnout isn’t proof of faithfulness, and I can’t continue walking forever at this pace.
But the road behind me wasn’t wasted. It prepared me to stand where I am now.
