Matthew 15:9 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”(ESV)
The most dangerous false teaching doesn’t usually sound false. It sounds like Scripture after ambition has handled it. It quotes the Bible, borrows the authority of Christ, and then quietly bends the passage until man’s desire gets to wear God’s name. That’s why every teacher must tremble before the text: because the moment Scripture becomes clay in our hands instead of a sword over our own hearts, we’re no longer feeding sheep. We’re seasoning poison.
