John 12:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.(ESV)
Not everything God is doing is visible while He’s doing it. Some of His deepest work happens beneath the surface, where nobody else can measure it, applaud it, or even understand it.
That can be uncomfortable because we usually want fruit before burial. We want clarity before surrender. We want proof before patience.
But Jesus points to the seed. Before fruit comes falling. Before multiplication comes burial. Before life spreads outward, something first has to be entrusted to the ground.
There are seasons when God isn’t ignoring what’s been buried. He’s preparing what will grow from it.
So today, don’t despise the hidden place. Don’t assume silence means absence. Don’t confuse being buried with being forgotten.
Some things have to go into the ground before they can bear fruit.
