Matthew 11:28–30 (28)Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (29)Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (30)For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”(ESV)
The long weekend ends, and the normal weight of life starts pressing back in. Deadlines return. Responsibilities return. The noise returns. Jesus never promised a life with nothing to carry, but He did offer a better yoke. Not every burden placed on your back came from Him. Some came from fear. Some came from pride. Some came from the need to prove yourself. So before stepping back into the week, it’s worth asking a simple question: Am I carrying the work Christ gave me, or am I dragging chains He already broke?
