Be Strong

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”(ESV)

This is a powerful verse from the book of Joshua. These words offer great strength and encouragement in the middle of our challenges and uncertainties. God’s command to Joshua applies to us as well. It isn’t spoken in a harsh tone, but rather in love. He calls and invites us to be strong and courageous, trusting in His power. We need not be afraid or discouraged because our loving Father is with us always. Let us find comfort and hope in His presence, stepping out in faith and experiencing the abundant life that comes from trusting in Him.

At our church, we always end every service with the same blessing from Numbers 6:

Numbers 6:24-26 (24)The Lord bless you and keep you; (25)the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; (26)the Lord lift up his countenance (face) upon you and give you peace.(ESV)

Who am I?

I’ve walked a path I didn’t ask for, guided by a God I can’t ignore. I don’t wear titles well—writer, teacher, leader—they fit like borrowed armor. But I know this: I’ve bled truth onto a page, challenged what I was told to swallow, and led only because I refused to follow where I couldn’t see Christ.

I don’t see greatness in the mirror. I see someone ordinary, shaped by pain and made resilient through it. I’m not above anyone. I’m not below anyone. I’m just trying to live what I believe and document the war inside so others know they aren’t alone.

If you’re looking for polished answers, you won’t find them here.
But if you’re looking for honesty, tension, paradox, and a relentless pursuit of truth,
you’re in the right place.

If you’re unsure of what path to follow or disillusioned with the world today and are willing to walk with me along this path I follow, you’ll never be alone. Everyone is welcome and invited to participate as much as they feel comfortable with.

Now, welcome home. I’m Don.
