⚓ Floatie: A Workman Worthy of the Word
2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.(ESV)
✒️ Forge: How Long Did That Take?
Not long ago, someone asked me how long it takes to write these daily messages.
The short answer? Some take twenty minutes. Others take two days.
The long answer is…far more complicated.
Each post may only take you three to five minutes to read. But many of them represent hours of research, years of wrestling, and often a moment of breakthrough that leads to repentance or revelation.
Sometimes I sit down, open my Bible, and the message practically writes itself. Other times I chase a single verse across four translations, five commentaries, and thirty tabs before I realize the message was never about the verse—it was about me.
And that’s the part you don’t see. The prayers. The repentance. The conviction. The tears.
Because I refuse to post something unless I know the fire burned in me first.
⚒️ Anvil: Cutting the Message, Not the Corners
There is a weight to handling the Word of God.
Every time I write, I have one primary goal: get out of the way and let the message do the talking.
But the temptation to impress people is real. So is the fear of saying too much, or not enough. And that’s why editing is often the hardest part—cutting the clever phrasing that wandered off topic, killing the side trail that might one day become its own post, or deleting a convicting sentence that just doesn’t belong in this particular message.
Each post is like lighting a candle from a bonfire. You get the light—but not all the heat it took to start it.
🔥 Ember: I’m Just Glad You’re Here
Most people don’t realize how much it means to me when someone takes the time to read one of these.
Not because it builds me up, but because it means someone saw enough value to spend a few minutes sitting with something that cost me hours.
Many of these messages were born from questions, moments of pain, or one strange word that refused to sit quietly in the text.
Some of the posts come quickly. Others take a fight. But every one of them is written with the hope that it finds someone who needs it.
So thank you—for opening your inbox, for clicking the post, and for giving me three minutes of your life.
That’s no small thing. And I don’t take it for granted.
🌿 Covenant Triumph: Every Word Matters
Isaiah 55:11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.(ESV)
Every message I send is just another echo of His Word—filtered through my fingers, shaped by His Spirit, and carried by grace. I ask forgiveness for the moments where my voice speaks louder than His. That is never my intention.
Some posts take minutes. Some take days.
But the impact?
That’s entirely up to Him—because to Him goes all the glory and praise.
