Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.(ESV)
James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.(ESV)
There is an often overlooked message in salvation. Salvation isn’t a gift that you receive and tuck away in a drawer for a rainy day. We weren’t just saved from something. No, we were saved for something. The Kingdom of God isn’t just some distant future destination—it’s a present calling. Faith is not the finish line—it’s a starting point.
Your life has a divine assignment. God didn’t just save you to wait for heaven—He saved you to walk in purpose right now. Faith is active. If we are saved but do nothing with it, we miss the point of the Gospel.
Luke 17:21 nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.(ESV)
Jesus didn’t come just to get people into heave—He came to bring heaven to earth. Every time we love, serve, forgive, and reflect Jesus, we bring God’s kingdom into reality.
Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.(ESV)
The church isn’t just waiting for the kingdom to come—we are called to be agents of the kingdom. What does that look like? We carry those who can’t carry themselves (Matthew 2:3-5) and share each other’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).
There is an active call to action in the bible.
Philippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.(ESV)
If you’re still here then God still has a purpose for you. You’re not done yet. Your salvation wasn’t just for your benefit—it was given so you can help others encounter Christ.
Isaiah 6:8 And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”(ESV)
That same call still stands today—who will say, “Here I am, send me”? What will you do with what you’ve been given? Who in your life needs you to carry them today?
If you’re waiting for a sign to step up, this is it. Where is God calling you to step out in faith, love boldly, and serve faithfully? The Christian life is not just about waiting for heaven—it’s about bringing heaven to earth in how we love, serve, and carry others.
So, what’s your next step?
