Good Is Subjective Except…

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

You can be a good person, but good is subjective unless you have an objective source of truth. If your source of truth is based on perceptions that can change, it isn’t complete enough to be called truth. Without an objective source of truth, you cannot truly be good. You might do subjectively good things, but even Satan can appear to do good with evil ulterior motives.

Any ministry that only focuses on a single aspect of the gospel is incomplete, and thus, false. It does a disservice to it’s followers, leaving them vulnerable through blind spots created by a teacher unwilling to approach uncomfortable topics. Anyone who refuses to call sin what it is disagrees with God. However, anyone who calls out sin without love and grace also misrepresents God.

Don’t let this email be your only source of information of biblical learning. I am wrong on many things because I’m a human being, still becoming the person God designed me to be. I am fallible and flawed, just like Adam. I speak in anger when grace is needed, and I stay silent when truth should be spoken. I am flawed, and that is the truth. I am still learning, so I beg forgiveness for my faults.

I encourage you to turn to God, the only One worthy of worship and praise, for all your hopes, prayers, and needs. I am happy to walk with you through anything you feel comfortable sharing. Prayers are free, and I love this ministry with all my heart, but it counts for nothing if you only hear my voice or see my words. If the Holy Spirit does not bless these words, they are hollow. But if even one person reads these words and finds that they were meant for them, then these words are truly blessed.

Father,
I thank You for another opportunity to praise Your name. I thank You for this ministry and for Your holy nature, as You are the source of absolute truth. I ask that if these words are not blessed by You, they shrivel on the wind. If there is anything in my heart is found lacking, grant me wisdom so I can draw closer to You. I ask, Lord, that You bless these words to be seeds planted in fertile soil, for the glory of Your kingdom. May these words bring the reader closer to You when the time is right. Let them be filled with Your spirit of peace, mercy, grace, and love.

Bless those reading this message. Remind them that You are always with them, and that You are always in control. You will not leave nor forsake them, because You are good. It’s not about who we are or what we do, but about Your goodness, mercy, and love. Let us speak the whole truth in love, so that we sharpen each other like iron and lift our spirits in an ever-growing chorus of praise.

In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Who am I?

I’ve walked a path I didn’t ask for, guided by a God I can’t ignore. I don’t wear titles well—writer, teacher, leader—they fit like borrowed armor. But I know this: I’ve bled truth onto a page, challenged what I was told to swallow, and led only because I refused to follow where I couldn’t see Christ.

I don’t see greatness in the mirror. I see someone ordinary, shaped by pain and made resilient through it. I’m not above anyone. I’m not below anyone. I’m just trying to live what I believe and document the war inside so others know they aren’t alone.

If you’re looking for polished answers, you won’t find them here.
But if you’re looking for honesty, tension, paradox, and a relentless pursuit of truth,
you’re in the right place.

If you’re unsure of what path to follow or disillusioned with the world today and are willing to walk with me along this path I follow, you’ll never be alone. Everyone is welcome and invited to participate as much as they feel comfortable with.

Now, welcome home. I’m Don.
