Walking With Christ

1 Corinthians 7:17 Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches.(ESV)

Unless God has something to say about it, oak trees do not produce watermelons. No one in this world ever has or ever will be able to bear the fruit that you are meant to. You can’t bear their fruit either, nor should you try. Stop trying to live someone else’s life. You have specific trials, troubles, triumphs, tests, and temptations to trip you up, tie you down, tear you apart, and ultimately teach you to trust the power, love, mercy, and grace of our God.

Truly, truly, I tell you that you won’t find your name written in the book of life if you refuse to become the person God knows you to be. He created that person and wants you to become that person. The only way to become that person is through a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus left earth to make a place for the person God created you to be. It’s like showing up to an exclusive resort only to find out that the reservation was made under a different name. With Jesus as your travel agent and the Holy Spirit as your travel companion, you’re guaranteed to reach the right destination and find the reservation under the correct name.
