Break the Chains

Galatians 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.(ESV)

You can’t finish a journey that you never start.
You’ll never be free if you can’t sleep without the chains.
You’ll never heal and become whole again if you don’t stop hurting yourself.
You can’t serve two masters, so stop listening to the lies of the enemy who has come to steal, kill, and destroy.
You’ll never see your own value until you trust the one who determined that you were worth the cost of His holy blood spilled on the cross.
You’ll never really gain complete control until you learn to let go and let God.
You can’t see who you really are until you see yourself through God’s eyes.
You can’t see the full picture if you only focus on the cracks.
You won’t find lasting joy if you only chase temporary pleasures.
You can’t walk on water if you don’t step out of the boat.
You can’t grow in grace without forgiving yourself and others.

Who am I?

I’ve walked a path I didn’t ask for, guided by a God I can’t ignore. I don’t wear titles well—writer, teacher, leader—they fit like borrowed armor. But I know this: I’ve bled truth onto a page, challenged what I was told to swallow, and led only because I refused to follow where I couldn’t see Christ.

I don’t see greatness in the mirror. I see someone ordinary, shaped by pain and made resilient through it. I’m not above anyone. I’m not below anyone. I’m just trying to live what I believe and document the war inside so others know they aren’t alone.

If you’re looking for polished answers, you won’t find them here.
But if you’re looking for honesty, tension, paradox, and a relentless pursuit of truth,
you’re in the right place.

If you’re unsure of what path to follow or disillusioned with the world today and are willing to walk with me along this path I follow, you’ll never be alone. Everyone is welcome and invited to participate as much as they feel comfortable with.

Now, welcome home. I’m Don.
