John 12:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.(ESV)
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.(ESV)
You can be buried or you can be planted. They look the same for a season. It’s easy to give up hope in the darkness. When we become Christians, we die to our old selves. We become seeds that need to be planted. When we are baptized in Christ then we are planted in fertile soil and begin the process or being born again into a new life in Christ. It looks different for everyone, but the process is very similar.
Let’s flip this. We often can’t tell the difference between a burial and a seed being planted because they look exactly the same. We often walk away from what was planted because we believe it’s dead. Stop walking away from what is planted. Stay a while to see what grows.
