Hebrews 10:24-25 (24)And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, (25)not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.(ESV)

Ecclesiastes 3:1,4 (1)For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: (4)a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.(ESV)
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.(ESV)
Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.(ESV)
Not every day feels like a celebration. Not every day is going to be perfect and go exactly as planned. No, there will be some truly horrible days. For some, it will seem that the bad days far outweigh the good. Even at the lowest point in life we need to remember who we serve. We need to celebrate the ability to serve a loving God. Choosing to celebrate even when we don’t feel like it or nothing seems to be going right is a massive victory over the enemy.
The simple truth is that if we don’t schedule our victories our defeat will schedule itself. Schedule time to worship, pray, dance, praise, and be thankful every single day. Take a moment to be grounded in the truth of who it is we serve and who it is that is truly in control. This is always the first step to putting on the full armor that we all called to wear at all times.
When I’m feeling the lowest is when I need to adjust my priorities and spend more time alone with God in prayer and praise. It’s less about asking for what I want or need and more about being reminded to walk in truth.
