Proverbs 27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.(ESV)
I’m sure that people have noticed that this message wasn’t sent at the normal time. Seems like this verse is perfect for today. I left work on Friday with full confidence that I had written a message for today. I planned my day today out yesterday. I had a list of things that I was going to do today.
Looks like God had other plans.
I woke up this morning with not one, but two nearly flat tires on my truck. I have an air compressor so airing them up shouldn’t have been a big deal. The air compressor has started making noises that made me a bit uncomfortable to be around. That’s not a problem. I will just work from home.
I log in to find that my laptop is having issues that should be resolved by a reboot. After the reboot? My laptop won’t connect again.
Now, I’m sitting at my desk at the office after borrowing my wife’s car. I think I fixed my laptop and have confirmed that I did not set up a message for today.
To wrap things up, all is well and God is good. No, today is not going according to plan. I know that I know that I know that God has a better plan for me today. I can’t wait to see what that looks like.
Father,
Thank You for the reminder that You are in control. Thank you for the odd little things in our paths that cause us to change direction. Thank You for the ability to see those things for what they are. We praise Your holy name.
In Jesus name we pray, amen!
