We Know Not What the Morrow Brings

The last few days has been a whirlwind of huge lessons for me. It’s not that I didn’t know a lot of this stuff, but each time I hear some of these messages it’s like hearing them for the first time and I learn something new. I try to share just one or two things that I learn each day, but the simple truth is that it is getting a lot harder to pick just one or two from the volume of lessons I receive on most days. What an unexpected blessing.

Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.(ESV)
Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.(ESV)
Proverbs 27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.(ESV)
Luke 9:62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”(ESV)
Genesis 19:26 But Lot’s wife, behind him, looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.(ESV)

Yesterday is gone and cannot be changed. Tomorrow is not promised and will never come. Today has never happened before. Stop living in the past that cannot be changed. Stop putting things off until tomorrow because tomorrow is just an excuse. Stop being afraid of today. Nobody has experienced today before. Today is where the Lord is.

Who am I?

I’ve walked a path I didn’t ask for, guided by a God I can’t ignore. I don’t wear titles well—writer, teacher, leader—they fit like borrowed armor. But I know this: I’ve bled truth onto a page, challenged what I was told to swallow, and led only because I refused to follow where I couldn’t see Christ.

I don’t see greatness in the mirror. I see someone ordinary, shaped by pain and made resilient through it. I’m not above anyone. I’m not below anyone. I’m just trying to live what I believe and document the war inside so others know they aren’t alone.

If you’re looking for polished answers, you won’t find them here.
But if you’re looking for honesty, tension, paradox, and a relentless pursuit of truth,
you’re in the right place.

If you’re unsure of what path to follow or disillusioned with the world today and are willing to walk with me along this path I follow, you’ll never be alone. Everyone is welcome and invited to participate as much as they feel comfortable with.

Now, welcome home. I’m Don.
