Blessings Multiply

Proverbs 11:24-27 (24)One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. (25)Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered. (26)The people curse him who holds back grain, but a blessing is on the head of him who sells it.(ESV)

A blessing is a blessing is a blessing. Many places in the bible it speaks about the call to share our blessings. This goes back to the message from a few weeks ago about cul-de-sac Christians. Blessings that do not flow through us are dead. The odd part of this concept is that if God chooses to bless me then I choose to bless someone else with that same blessing, it doesn’t remove that blessing from me. It adds it to them by doubling what the Lord has given. A blessing may have to pass through many hands before it lands where it is meant to be.

Think of this another way, if you receive a blessing that you are meant to bless someone else with then it is a test of your obedience and faith to let that blessing flow where it is supposed to go. You will bless them by being obedient which is also a blessing to you, but you will also be rewarded for your obedience.

It’s always interesting to see how the Lord multiplies the things we allow Him to use.

Who am I?

I’ve walked a path I didn’t ask for, guided by a God I can’t ignore. I don’t wear titles well—writer, teacher, leader—they fit like borrowed armor. But I know this: I’ve bled truth onto a page, challenged what I was told to swallow, and led only because I refused to follow where I couldn’t see Christ.

I don’t see greatness in the mirror. I see someone ordinary, shaped by pain and made resilient through it. I’m not above anyone. I’m not below anyone. I’m just trying to live what I believe and document the war inside so others know they aren’t alone.

If you’re looking for polished answers, you won’t find them here.
But if you’re looking for honesty, tension, paradox, and a relentless pursuit of truth,
you’re in the right place.

If you’re unsure of what path to follow or disillusioned with the world today and are willing to walk with me along this path I follow, you’ll never be alone. Everyone is welcome and invited to participate as much as they feel comfortable with.

Now, welcome home. I’m Don.
