You Have a Testimony

Mark 5:8-9 (8)For he was saying to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!” (9)And Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He replied, “My name is Legion, for we are many.”(ESV)

In the city of Decapolis, Jesus healed this man of a legion of demons. Did the people marvel at this and shout for joy? No. They begged him to leave because they were so mad about losing the herd of pigs. They asked him to leave and not come back. The possessed man begged to go with Jesus because he wanted nothing to do with the anger of the town. Jesus just told him no. Jesus said he needed to stay and tell his story.

Go back. Read that last sentence again. Read it until it sinks in.

It’s impossible to say what happened to the guy who was possessed. The bible doesn’t mention him again. However, it does talk about the town again. Two chapters later, Jesus is passing back through this town that begged him to never come back. This time, people were throwing the sick at Him then begged him to stay. All from the testimony of the one man.

This is the power of ONE testimony. Each of us HAS a testimony. Please share.

Who am I?

I’ve walked a path I didn’t ask for, guided by a God I can’t ignore. I don’t wear titles well—writer, teacher, leader—they fit like borrowed armor. But I know this: I’ve bled truth onto a page, challenged what I was told to swallow, and led only because I refused to follow where I couldn’t see Christ.

I don’t see greatness in the mirror. I see someone ordinary, shaped by pain and made resilient through it. I’m not above anyone. I’m not below anyone. I’m just trying to live what I believe and document the war inside so others know they aren’t alone.

If you’re looking for polished answers, you won’t find them here.
But if you’re looking for honesty, tension, paradox, and a relentless pursuit of truth,
you’re in the right place.

If you’re unsure of what path to follow or disillusioned with the world today and are willing to walk with me along this path I follow, you’ll never be alone. Everyone is welcome and invited to participate as much as they feel comfortable with.

Now, welcome home. I’m Don.
