Genesis 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.(ESV)
John 1:1-4 (1)In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (2)He was in the beginning with God. (3)All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. (4)In him was life, and the life was the light of men. (5)The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.(ESV)
Genesis 1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 29 And God said…
Genesis 1:26 Then God said…
God spoke all of creation into existence. Except mankind. In verse 24, God commands the earth to bring forth animals. In verse 26 He says “Let us make man” then, as confirmed by Genesis 2:7 and Psalm 103:14, He forms man with His own hands out of the dust of the earth before breathing life into Adam.
He could have just said for the earth to do it like He did with the animals and sea creatures, yet He made us with His own hands. There is no mention of Him breathing into any other creatures. This shows that we have a very different relationship with God than any other creature that was formed.
We were made for a very special purpose. This was true for Adam and Eve. This is true for each one of us today. He has a plan and a purpose for each of us because He knew each of us would exist before He made Adam.
