Power of Testimony

Testimony is one of the most powerful tools of ministry any Christian has. Testimony is our witness to what God has done in our lives. It serves as a promise of what God has done before which is also a promise of the things He wants to do again. He has healed countless afflictions and even raised the dead just so that we, collectively, will see how much He wants to have a relationship with us.

John 9:6-7 (6)Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man’s eyes with the mud (7)and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.(ESV)

John 9:25 He answered, “Whether he is a sinner I do not know. One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.”(ESV)

The man said, “I was blind, now I see” and that was the entirety of his testimony beyond giving Jesus credit. This man was cast out of the temple for his testimony. What he gained was a saving relationship with Jesus, the one who could.

This man was bold. Bold to the point of being kicked out of the temple. It could be described as if he was spiritually on fire for Jesus after seeing, literally for the first time in his life, what Jesus could do.

Tomorrow, I want to discuss a little about what being on fire looks like.

Who am I?

I’ve walked a path I didn’t ask for, guided by a God I can’t ignore. I don’t wear titles well—writer, teacher, leader—they fit like borrowed armor. But I know this: I’ve bled truth onto a page, challenged what I was told to swallow, and led only because I refused to follow where I couldn’t see Christ.

I don’t see greatness in the mirror. I see someone ordinary, shaped by pain and made resilient through it. I’m not above anyone. I’m not below anyone. I’m just trying to live what I believe and document the war inside so others know they aren’t alone.

If you’re looking for polished answers, you won’t find them here.
But if you’re looking for honesty, tension, paradox, and a relentless pursuit of truth,
you’re in the right place.

If you’re unsure of what path to follow or disillusioned with the world today and are willing to walk with me along this path I follow, you’ll never be alone. Everyone is welcome and invited to participate as much as they feel comfortable with.

Now, welcome home. I’m Don.
