One Lost Sheep

Matthew 18:11-13 What do you think?  If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?  And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray.(ESV)

If sheep never strayed, there would be no need for a shepherd.  We have all strayed.  We have all been that one sheep who Christ came for.  The most amazing part is that He loves each and every one of us so much that if we were the only one in all of human history who would be saved He would still have gone to the cross.  We will never find a place where His love cannot reach us.    While we yet live we will never wander far enough that He cannot come and get us.

Who am I?

I’ve walked a path I didn’t ask for, guided by a God I can’t ignore. I don’t wear titles well—writer, teacher, leader—they fit like borrowed armor. But I know this: I’ve bled truth onto a page, challenged what I was told to swallow, and led only because I refused to follow where I couldn’t see Christ.

I don’t see greatness in the mirror. I see someone ordinary, shaped by pain and made resilient through it. I’m not above anyone. I’m not below anyone. I’m just trying to live what I believe and document the war inside so others know they aren’t alone.

But if you’re looking for honesty, tension, paradox, and a relentless pursuit of truth,
you’re in the right place.
